Georges River Environmental Education Centre delivers curriculum-aligned science and geography excursions for Stage 4 in working scientifically and geographical thinking and working.

Led by qualified NSW Department of Education science and geography trained teachers our programs support geography and science syllabus in fieldwork, ecosystems, landscapes and landforms, water in the world and living systems.

Fieldwork skills excursion

Stage 4 Geography excursion for Years 7–8 developing geographical inquiry, fieldwork, mapping, soil and water testing, primary data collection and analysis in natural environments along the Georges River.

Landscapes and landforms excursion

Stage 4 Geography excursion for Years 7–8 investigating Sydney sandstone landscapes, river valleys, weathering, erosion and deposition through geographical inquiry, fieldwork, soil testing and water testing.

Water in the world excursion

Stage 4 Geography excursion for Years 7–8 exploring water resources, catchments, hydrological processes, water quality and sustainability through practical fieldwork, geographical inquiry and primary data collection.

Living systems excursion

Stage 4 Science excursion for Years 7–8 investigating ecosystems, biodiversity, food webs, biotic and abiotic factors and threatened species through ecological fieldwork, scientific observation and primary data collection.
