Picnic and leadership days

Animal Adventure

Bring your favourite animal toy and enjoy a picnic and games in the park as we connect together on country to explore your sense of place and belonging in our natural world. Play indigenous games, learn about bush foods in our secret garden and develop fundamental movement skills whilst working with your friends to participate in physical teamwork activities,  obstacle courses, building habitats, and even meeting our local animals!

Stage 1

Picnic Day

Connect to yourself, others and country in a day of play and team challenges in the outdoors. Enjoy the beauty of the natural environment and develop your sense of place and wellbeing. Learn  indigenous and traditional games, develop fundamental movement skills as you learn to throw a boomerangs to chase the ducks, Find your way through obstacles in group challenges that promote teamwork and cohesion. Build a bush base for your picnic and enjoy the wellbeing nature provides. 

Stage 2

Wellbeing and movement

Work together to build your world. Develop a deep sense of connection to country as you still yourself in nature and find the wellbeing that comes from listening and tuning in to your surroundings. Experience nature hands on with special bush food & plant activities. Try nature journaling and then dive into some active play with indigenous and world games, initiative challenges and lots of fun ! 

Stage 3 

Let the Games begin!  

A fun day out packed with a variety of indigenous, world and initiative team building style games with practical hands-on activities and a splash of water for those hot days! Try tool making and bush target practice! Learn aboriginal bush foods and plant uses while developing a  deeper connection to country, other and yourself in a reflective activity to promote wellbeing.
