Georges River Environmental Education Centre delivers curriculum-aligned Geography and Science excursions for Years 7–11 across south-west Sydney. Led by qualified NSW Department of Education Science and Geography teachers, our hands-on fieldwork programs develop geographical inquiry, scientific investigation, primary data collection, analysis and critical thinking in authentic outdoor environments.
Choose from Stage 4, Stage 5 and Stage 6 programs designed to support syllabus content while giving students practical experience using fieldwork techniques, scientific equipment and geographical tools.
Stage 4 excursions
Stage 4 | Geography and Science
Curriculum-aligned Stage 4 Geography and Science excursions for Years 7–8 developing fieldwork, geographical inquiry and scientific investigation through hands-on studies of landscapes, water, ecosystems and living systems.
Stage 5 excursions

Curriculum-aligned Stage 5 Geography excursions for Years 9–10 developing geographical inquiry, fieldwork, mapping, primary data collection and analysis through real-world investigations of environmental change and management.
Stage 6 excursions
Stage 6 | Biology, EES, Geography and Investigating Science
Curriculum-aligned Stage 6 fieldwork excursions for Year 11 students in Biology, Earth and Environmental Science, Geography and Investigating Science, developing advanced data collection, analysis and scientific and geographical inquiry skills.
