Professional learning
We offer professional learning for teachers to build skills and confidence in teaching outdoors, and in environment and sustainability topics. Teachers get practical tools, hands-on activities and ideas to use in their classrooms or school grounds.

Our professional learning programs:

- support outdoor pedagogy, fieldwork and Aboriginal education
- informed by research
- provide sample lessons and ideas for better student outcomes
- can be delivered at our centre, online or at school.
The afternoon sessions
The outdoor classroom professional learning workshop
The outdoor classroom professional learning workshop is a one hour program for how to deliver NSW NESA Kâ6 syllabus content outdoors for better student outcomes. Led by NSW qualified teachers with strong experience in nature pedagogy learn the tips and tricks to taking classroom lessons outdoors. Authentic, hands-on and fun these activities provide for all learning types, EAL/D learners and supports wellbeing and greater connection to Country.

Fieldwork skills professional learning workshop
The Fieldwork skills professional learning workshop is a one hour program to build confidence in developing and delivering fieldwork in 7â12 Science and Geography syllabuses. These workshops are led by NSW qualified secondary teachers with extensive experience in delivering high quality fieldwork with proven impact for better student outcomes. Aligned to NSW NESA Years 7â12 fieldwork advice each session provides advise on how to safely and easily conduct fieldwork in your school.

Staff development days
Aboriginal Cultural Competency
A day on Country connecting with Community to improve educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students by promoting and increasing cultural knowledge.
Costs:
Fully catered with delicious bush tucker and other offerings - $120 per person.
Non-catered - $85 per person.
