Program overview
The Early stage 1 Yama2you HSIE Geography experience connecting you with Country at school.
Inspired by story this hands-on, art filled, authentic cultural experience will engage students in the way Aboriginal Peoples connect with Country, Culture and Community. Be inspired to learn more about Country, our waterways, bushland and parks and the animals and plants that live around us. Share traditional practices to learn ways we can care for local places.
The program is delivered with our friends from Yama2you.
Opportunities to taste commercially produced and certified bush tucker is available on request. Please contact our centre for more details.

Preparation |
Set up – please meet Yama2you and/or Georges River EEC staff member 1 hour before first session. Learning space – please provide a suitable learning space for the duration of the day Program length – 1 hour 30 mins |
Clothing |
Sports uniform Sports shoes Raincoat in case of wet weather. Please no umbrellas. |
Staff and student welfare |
For medical or special needs notify staff prior to program. |
Extreme or wet weather |
Program may be modified, postponed or cancelled due to predicted extreme temperatures, bush fire danger, heavy rainfall, high winds or dust storms. Please view our trigger points for postponement and cancellation. |
