Our commitment to educational excellence
Our vision is for educational excellence where every student learns, grows and belongs. At Georges River Environmental Education Centre (EEC), we bring this vision to life by enriching the NSW syllabus through authentic, engaging learning in the outdoor classroom. We aim to deepen student knowledge, build curiosity and strengthen connection to place.
We are committed to providing high-quality, inclusive and engaging programs for schools and communities across South West Sydney, while working to ensure students can access these rich learning opportunities.
Our pricing approach
Georges River EEC is a NSW public school. Our program prices are set on a cost-recovery basis to support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.
Our teaching staff are employed above the centre's staff entitlement on temporary contracts or on a casual basis and are employed under the NSW Department of Education's Crown Employees (Teachers in Schools and Related Employees) Salaries and Conditions Award 2024. We proudly employ highly experienced teachers. Program fees contribute to recovering these staffing costs.
Our pricing reflects our commitment to educational excellence and to providing students with meaningful, syllabus-aligned learning experiences in outdoor and community settings.
Supporting equity and access
We believe that enriching learning beyond the classroom should be accessible to all students. Consistent with the NSW public education commitment to equity and excellence, we work with schools and community partners to reduce barriers to participation wherever possible.
We encourage NSW Department of Education schools to consider the use of school equity funding to support student participation in our learning programs.
Subsidised excursions and incursions
To support our local students and school communities, Georges River EEC develops partnerships with local councils, tertiary institutions, cultural institutions, not-for-profit organisations and community partners.
Through these partnerships, we seek opportunities to subsidise program costs or provide selected incursions free of charge. Our team actively explores grant funding and other partnership opportunities that can help reduce costs for schools and increase student access to high-quality learning experiences.

Program costs
Full day excursions or incursions
Prices are calculated at a cost recovery.
- Department of Education schools $22 per student
- Non-government schools $28 per student
Part day incursion - Up to 2 hour session
Prices are calculated at a cost recovery.
- Department of Education schools $12 per student
- Non-government schools $18 per student
Yama2you Aboriginal experience incursions
Prices are calculated at a cost recovery.
- Full day - $800 per Yama2you and/or Georges River EEC educator to a maximum of 30 students
- Part day - up to 2 hour session - $400 per Yama2you and/or Georges River EEC educator to a maximum of 30 students.
Liverpool Powerhouse HPGE programs
Prices are calculated on a cost recovery basis.
Refer to Liverpool Powerhouse HPGE programs series for individual program costs.
Special programs
Special program include Aboriginal culture days, fishing programs, citizen science programs, NAIDOC celebrations, Education week and sustainability events.
- Special programs include a one day development fee of $800.
- Full day/ part day excursion/ incursion per student costs apply.
- Minimum cost per day $800 per Georges River EEC educator to a maximum of 30 students.
Bespoke programs
Bespoke programs are developed specifically for your school requirements and expectations.
Prices are calculated at a cost recovery.
- Bespoke programs include a one day development fee of $800.
- Full day/ part day excursion/ incursion per student costs apply.
- Minimum cost per day $800 per Georges River EEC educator to a maximum of 30 students.
Catering
We can organise catered events, BBQ's and can provide native foods including kangaroo stew, native seeds and spices.
Large wattle seed dampers in turtle and crocodile shapes can be purchased for $60 per damper.

Professional learning
Bespoke professional learning events
Prices are calculated at a cost recovery.
Programs developed specifically for your school requirements and expectations. This includes international visitors, university pre-service teachers, community events.
- For bespoke professional learning a one day development fee of $800 applies.
- Full day - $800 per Georges River EEC educator to a maximum of 30 participants
- Part day - up to 2 hour session - $400 per Georges River EEC educator to a maximum of 30 participants
