Stage 5 incursions

Stage 5 school incursions at Georges River EEC bring curriculum-aligned Geography and Science learning to Years 9–10 students at their school. Our hands-on programs develop geographical inquiry, scientific investigation, fieldwork, primary data collection, analysis and critical thinking through authentic real-world investigations.

Students can explore environmental sustainability, renewable energy, evolution and fossils, and Geography fieldwork skills, applying classroom learning through practical investigations using their school environment.

Geography

Geography fieldwork skills: Coming soon - A hands-on Stage 5 Geography incursion for Years 9–10 developing geographical inquiry, mapping, fieldwork techniques, primary data collection and analysis using the school grounds as an authentic study site.

Science

Environmental sustainability: Coming soon - A hands-on Stage 5 Science incursion for Years 9–10 investigating sustainability, resource use, waste and human impacts through scientific inquiry, data collection and practical environmental problem-solving.

Evolution and fossils: Coming soon - A curriculum-aligned Stage 5 Science incursion for Years 9–10 exploring evolution, natural selection, adaptation and fossil evidence through hands-on investigation, observation and interpretation of scientific evidence.

Renewable energy: Coming soon - A hands-on Stage 5 Science incursion for Years 9–10 exploring renewable energy technologies, energy transformations and sustainable solutions through practical investigations, scientific inquiry and real-world applications.
