Become an Earth ranger to sustain and conserve the earth!
In this on Country experience students will explore the wonders and diversity of the natural world and strengthen their understanding of human connections to their local place. Through mapping activities, students observe natural and human features, investigate how environments are used and cared for and consider sustainability in real-world contexts. Students will play our sustainbility fishing game to develop a deeper understanding of how people manage places for conservation and sustainability, highlighting the importance of resource management for future generations.
Students deepen their understanding of Aboriginal ongoing obligations to Country, Culture and Community through story, ochre (through chalk) and Songlines that have been generously shared by Elders.
This program is best spent in a natural environment close to school. We can support the organisation of this experience including walking routes and risk assessments. Don't have a natural area close to school? Go to our excursion page to visit our sites.
