Location
Our centre is strategically located along the Georges River at Chipping Norton Lake. The area contains remnant Cumberland Plain woodland, with dense thickets of bushland preserved for local habitat. The large parklands and gardens have an abundance of shade trees and many spots to access the river and lake. The parklands include outdoor classroom spaces, nature play zones and bushland discovery.
Our large indoor classroom contains our beloved native animals. Meet Pickle, Pistachio and Pesto our Magnificent tree frogs, Stevie our Central bearded dragon, Stumpy our Shingleback and many others. We also house a large display of taxidermy specimens for scientific curiosity and discovery and Aboriginal traditional tools and artworks. Our fully fenced garden contains a large collection of native plants to enhance learning on Aboriginal plant uses and has a large frog pond for students to engage in dip netting.
Safe, inclusive and wheelchair accessible our site provides a unique and very special setting for primary and secondary students to learn about our world in Science and technology, Science, HSIE, Geography, Aboriginal Histories and Cultures, Creative Arts and sustainability.
We look forward to your visit.
